brought to you by ‘beme’
The weather here in Adelaide is looking more like winter (finally) which makes me happy because that means I can layer, rug up and look at the wild ocean.
It also means pulling on jeans. I don’t wear jeans often in the warmer months but when the weather is cold and wild…out they come. On the days when I want even ‘more’ comfort I slip into ‘jeggings’, because some days you just want to slip into something comfy that feels like home. Am I right?
Jeggings have come a long way since they were first introduced on the fashion scene, they are now so good it’s almost impossible to tell if you’re wearing a skinny leg jean or a jegging.
Unless you’re wearing them.
When you’re the one wearing them you are in style AND comfort heaven. Jeggings are ‘oh so comfy’ with their elastic waist. I can sit at the bench in my favourite cafe and eat soup, sip coffee and still feel comfortable. Mmmm, soup 🙂
When the team at ‘beme’ invited me to come in store and choose some pieces I was thrilled, because I know they’ve been consciously adding more on trend pieces to their line. I wanted to get amongst it and share my finds with you, think of it as research, or me doing the hard yards for you.
You’re welcome ?
I gathered ‘all’ the pieces that grabbed my eye and headed for the change rooms. You guessed it, jeggings were in the pile.
These baby’s are a dark blue (indigo) but also available in black, they have a touch of stretch, rear back pockets and are insanely comfortable. The look of a skinny with the comfort of leggings, yes please!
Jeggings are the perfect base for your winter wardrobe, a basic that will have you creating multiple looks.
Look, I’ve teamed these jeggings with a chambray blouse and tan boots, perfect for my morning coffee. When teaming jeggings with boots, tuck them in. This will give you a more streamlined look. Have fun with coloured boots too ?
I really wanted to share the chambray blouse with you all because, well you all know my hard core love of chambray ♥ Sadly the blouse is sold out. Already!!! Obviously a fabulous design and proof that ‘beme’ are hitting on some winning styles.
By adding a long line cardi it amps up the style stakes a notch while keeping me a little warmer. This cardi is also from ‘beme’ and is the perfect way to finish an outfit. I own a couple of long line cardis in black but when I spied this one in midnight blue I knew I had to have it.
Choosing a blue cardi means it will work with my winter colour palette (plums, mustard, cream and denim), it’s also just a little bit different don’t you think?
Don’t forget to slip into comfy footwear like a ballet flat or brogue when wearing your jeggings too, see…versatile. If you feel swamped at the ankle then cuff your Jeggings.
You’ll find ‘beme’ online HERE. There are 23 stand alone stores and you’ll also find ‘beme’ inside 180 Rockmans stores. Keep an eye out for them, in fact, make the walk inside and check them out.
There are some very cool styles for all occasions, perfect for a broad age group. ‘beme’ are looking after the ladies with sizing 14-26, a VIP program (sign up and receive a $10 welcome voucher) and also have gift cards available.
Speaking of gifts ‘beme’ and Styling Curvy have a gift to giveaway. Uhuh, I have a voucher to the value of $150 for one lucky duck. Check out the Autumn/Winter collection by clicking HERE.

I admit I have never been in there, but I am now inspired! Loving your outfit as I too am a massive fan of jeggings and I have been looking for a navy cardi/vest. After trawling the usual suspects at Chadstone on the weekend Lookingng for this item, I am pretty excited to find it here 🙂
Happy to help Emma 🙂
I lovvvee the chambray shirt and long vest together.
I have to say I’m in desperate need of a wardrobe overhaul. This mumma is wearing old gym pants, every, single, day!! I would love to win the fantastic beme gift voucher. I’d buy a pair of those banging jeggings, a V neck long sleeve top and a long line cardigan. I only wish they still had more of those chambray blouses! They look so great!
It’s a nice blouse Emma and a shame it’s sold out. I have seen several similar around the place so you can still grab one 🙂
I have always found BeMe to be a bit ‘granny’ looking, and they seem to cater for large busted women (which is not me!) so to be honest I just walk past their stores. My thoughts have changed since seeing this post though. I’d definitely get a pair of indigo jeggings and the vest you’re wearing. Damn woman, you know how to make clothes look good.
Thanks Darlene. Like all stores (but especially plus size stores0 you need to step in and rummage through the racks. You never know what you will find 🙂
I totally agree Darlene, I would have never even walked in the store before. I thought it was a shop for my mum ha ha. Looking at the website now and Jen should totally do their styling. Plan on going in store later this week for a better look.
I love the BeMe long sleeve sparkle knit… Comfort + sparkle = winning! And the navy jeggings would be perfect to wear with it this Winter.
I’d be looking at the leggings and the navy sleeveless cardigan – I have a real aversion to wearing anything on my lower arms, feels too constrictive.
I love the look of the military longline trench vest. I could easily see it over my boho dresses & tunic tops or with jeggings. Love the colour too, so versatile.
ooohhhh, I love boho too 🙂
All of the above! Jeggings, Chambray shirt & cardi!! Perfect!! You look gorgeous in them, hope I can too ?
I love love love the jegging, I have been chasing a pair in black so I now know were to go, also loving the 3/4 sleeve studded jumper with the pop of shoulders showing – definitely need to go checkout the store – thank you for this fabulous blog and all your great tips and hints xx
You’re welcome Michelle x
Hi Jenny. Ive been eyeing off the clothes in Beme for a while now and am lusting after the 3/4 sleeve printed drape jacket that I think would tie back nicely with the blue in the Moto detail jegging. The same blue is reflected in the jacket. Also, I think a great addition to anyones winter wardrobe would be the Zip detail fashion jogger as they look super comfy. At the beginning of the blog, you had me when you said you like to rug up and look at the wild ocean. I couldn’t think of anything better. xx
I love the ocean any day of the week Danielle, but she’s amazing during winter x
What a coincidence! I just had a discussion with friends on FB about the whole leggings vs jeggings vs skinny jeans conundrum and my friends convinced me to give leggings and jeggings a try despite my chunky thighs. Their advice ranged from “cover your front and back bum ” to “bend over in the change room to make sure they aren’t see through….” Judging by the looks of the Beme range the quality won’t be an issue and their longline vests will ensure I’m looking fab! Jeggings for the win here! I’m heading to my local (Brookside) to see what they have in stock ?
Thanks for sharing Jen!
Always cover your ‘lady bits’ when wearing leggings/jeggings 🙂
Hi Jenn, I must admit, I have never heard of BEME clothing ..but certainly liking what I see..
My choices would definitely be the jeggings, after seeing you in them {can I ask, what size you got}..and the textured poncho and I loved the sleeveless longline knit vest with pockets..stylish and comfort for me these days..
Hi Ann I’m wearing the size 16 jegging. I chose to size down because I wanted them to be firm.
I’m loving the Sleeveless Longline Knit Vest With Pockets. I am carrying some extra weight since having my last bub 7 months ago and this piece looks so flattering and super versatile! I’m living in leggings around the house at the moment and think I will need to get some of these awesome Jeggings now too!
Congratulations on your bubba Sarah x
With a wardrobe full of black basics already the Khaki military trench looks like a great buy to me! This is a look that suits me as it draws attention up to the collar and a base of all black makes me look taller. I live in Ballarat so extra layers are always needed during winter and this trench is very smart. I haven’t tried jeggings yet but I fancy a pair in black now after seeing your post.
Ballarat is so beautiful but VERY chilly over winter.
Oooh a few things caught my eye. Have not tried jeggings before but I think you’ve sold me! Plus, I love the long knit tunic top in mustard and the vest cardigan. I also like the look of the black coat/jacket with the pleather trim down the middle. Happy be me are branching out!
They sure are Katie 🙂
I’m so glad you shared this as you know I’m trying to create a functional and comfy wardrobe between sizes and haven’t seen beme around for a while soooo I found a super cute outfit i love
The beme skinny stitch detail jean teamed with the grey sleeveless longline vest with pockets pop a long tee under and the amber rose scarf to finish
I really love all those pieces and can see myself as a woman in my early 30’s feeling comfy and fashionable in them and confident
Thanks for sharing – ps – i think you had a scarf tutorial last year the amber rose scarf made me think of it – if you get time could you repost i would love some scarf ideas
X
Hi Amelia, I think the scarf tutorial was a video I did on Facebook. I’ll try and do another or even a blog post over the coming week. Meanwhile check out Nikki from Styling You on Facebook and Instagram, (look for #SYscarf) she has a May style challenge and the prompt is scarves, you will be stylistically inspired.

Thanks Jen
I’m hopeless with scarves
I almost tied myself in a knot last week x
Hi Jenni,
I’m always struggling to find something comfortable but still stylish to wear to kinder and school drop off/pick up. I hate feeling like a frumpy mum and being bigger I am often uncomfortable in what I’m wearing because I’ve tried to squeeze into something thats too small. This is a daily battle that often determines how my day will go. I love the Beme fur puffer vest teamed with the skinny leg cargo’s (with a long sleeved black/white top underneath of course ?).
Oh Kellie, I hear you…been there. Hun, find a couple of outfits that are all interchangeable AND make you feel awesome for school pickup. Don’t give a second thought to what the other Mums are thinking, just honour you xx
Thanks Jen xx
Like some of the other ladies, I really hadn’t shopped at beme before although my Mum has been raving about beme for years. I was pleasantly surprised and am impressed with their trendy plus size range. My pick is the Long Sleeve Sparkle Knit in my favourite wintery colour of marsala. A V neck always looks flattering (well on me anyway) Thanks for the blog post Jen!
You’re welcome Jodie x
I love either of the 3/4 sleeve tops, the lace front or the cowl neck- both look like I could dress them up for work or wear them with jeans or jeggings to the movies. Comfort and style, what more can a girl ask for?!
cake!…and coffee 🙂
I will enter this in hope of being lucky to get a gift voucher for my daughter, who never seems to have enough money to spend on herself. I think she would look great in the pull on ponte pants, 3/4 sleeve lace trimmed keyhole top with the longline pointed hem cardi and a scarf. I have shopped at Rockmans for many years and buy the BeMe range as presents for our daughter.
Jenni, you look great in the clothes in this post xx
Thanks Donna and what a wonderful Mum you are. x
I’m a huge beme fan and have been for years! Most days sees me in something Beme! Love the look of the long line cardigans. Might even share the voucher with my sister who by defaults wears a bit of Beme too, some generous sister might buy for her!
Oh sharing is caring Cindy 🙂
Mmmmm…….the longline military vest and black jeggings would probably suit this “age challenged person “!! Maybe a matching scarf or long necklace…….as worn by Styling Curvy herself ! ?
You are so stylish Val, regardless of age. xx
I hadn’t been into BeMe for ages, but I recently went past a store and they had an uber-cute star printed jumper that I just had to have, so I went it and bought it, and I love it. I’m pretty broke so couldn’t buy anything else, but I’d love a pair of those indigo jeggings. I’d also love to buy the long sleeve bamboo knit cardigan in mustard because I love a bright pop of colour when it’s dark and gloomy out. I wish they still had the chambray shirt in stock because I would be all over that too! I also really like the look of the pin-tuck faded jegging, interesting texture, would look cool with an oversized shirt.
Gah, I loved that star jumper but they had sold out of my size.
Well I couldn’t go past the full length black faded jeggings topped with the black full sleeve double front long sleeve top as a good base outfit. I could change the total look of this outfit by scarves, shoes and accessories. Such a versatile outfit which will help me look and feel amazing. I can just “BeMe”.
Ohhhhh it’s got to be the pleather biker jacket, and 101 pairs of jeggings (only jumped on the jegging bandwagon a few months ago, what took me so long?!?!?) would match perfectly with my new boots, I’m so ready for puddles this winter!!! ?
New boots! Nice one Fiona x
I love a bit of sparkle so my favourite piece of the collection has to be the long sleeve sparkle knit in the lovely deep red colour! So stunning! It would look perfect teamed with the black Jeggings!
I would choose the gorgeous red bamboo knit cardigan. On a gloomy day, this would absolutely pop! I love it. Teamed with black and add a geometric print scarfe….look out!
Oh thank you for this post, I have been hunting everywhere for the perfect vest for me, and now I’ve found it! The longline knitted vest with pockets is exactly what I need for Autumn and winter layering. When everyone else is freezing I’m just a bit chilly (y’know coz built in insulation ?) a vest is a great in between choice!
Haha Jo, I know that ‘built in insulation’ feeling well 🙂
You’ve got me sold on the Jeggings! And the Full Sleeve Pointel Hem Cardi matched with a Amber Rose Diamond tribal print Scarf for a pop of colour!
Had a peek & I’m in love with the Beme sleeveless long line knit vest with pockets!!!!!
Love everything you were wearing also, you’ve always got it going on!!!
Thanks, Kylie
Oh Kylie, you’re so very kind. Thankyou X
Thanks Jen, I didnt know about beme, a fabulous range with lots of local stores too for personal shopping bonus to try touch and feel, I always am a bit partial to that.. I would indeed go the jeggings they look like great quality ones that would be so functional and make you feel good.. xox
Being short and round is a bit of a nightmare when it comes to clothes shopping as often the items i see that I would love to wear are not available in my size or something that looks great on the hanger looks a fright on me.
Looking through the wonderful range at beme I would love to get a pair of the Beme Slim leg Cargo Pants. I tend to stick to leggings and its been about 30 years since I have been in a pair of Jeans. These Cargo pants would be a wonderful start in getting back to stylish.
The Beme long sleeve rib top looks like the perfect partner to the cargo pants and could easily be dressed up with a colourful scarf or shawl.
The 3/4 poplin Pants would be great of those Queensland Winter days when its not as cold as others and kind of in between.
Just adding these three items would certainly alter my wardrobe dramatically and im sure it would have people commenting.
All great choices Anna x
love these looks on you Jen x
Thanks so much Barbe xx
I would like to try either the ponti pants or jeggings because I have never tried either. Always up to try something new and hopefully doesn’t cut into my fat guts!
I love navy too, & I particularly like that vest you have selected. I don’t think there is a colour that doesn’t go with navy, is there?!
Jeggings …love tbe way they look and your blog sold tbem to me…comfort with out forgoing style…
I’m looking for some skinny jeans or jeggings, I’ve never been quite brave enough before.so I’d probably go for those.
I love that you have put together a really on trend outfit with pieces that can be worn across many outfits and seasons. These days I m a stay at home mum and a lot more conscious of the items I am buying. I love the neckline and pockets on the sold out chambray blouse and plan to invest in some jeggings after reading your post. I love the idea of jeggings but was scared and didn’t know where to start looking. The back pockets on the BEME jeggings take it our of leggings territory with the look of a true skinny jean. A sleeveless cardi is something I have never considered before but I have now added to my list. It has totally transformed your outfit. I can see how this would be worn with many items, which is what I look for these days. Thanks again for sharing Jen, especially affordable staple pieces like this.
Love the faded leggings and the longline military trench vest.
I haven’t been in BEME for years as I thought It was old ladies wear but I will now be taking the time to look, if I had the choice I would try the cargo pant – haven’t worn any for years! and the longline trench vest looks lovely. I dress comfy casual a lot of the time as I have young kids to keep up with and a limited budget.
I have become inspired and excited about getting dressed since following you and your posts… Thanks from me! This combo is nearly complete in my wardrobe just wouldn’t have put it together. Last night I teamed my chambray shirt with some skinny jeans (from the fat shop!), pulled out the tan boots and presto but I could imagine those jeggings would be super comfortable. I’m not a cardi-type but will be trying this combo out with fingers crossed it looks just as good. Might have to sway the husband to stop past a be me store sometime today. Yeah shopping with some purpose! Nicole
What a shame… i visited Beme and tried the jeggings on and they were too short! My boots aren’t very high, so they would have looked weird… oh well, picked up a couple of other items, so all was not lost. Thanks again.
Oh no, you must be tall Nicole. I’m 170 cm and as you can see by the pic where I’m wearing flat shoes they are kinda long on me. If I come across any for longer legs I’ll let you know. Ps, I would love longer legs 🙂
Yes do please, i am still wondering could i have bought them and false hemmed them or something… might have to go back and check on the weekend!
Oooooh I’m liking the Beme moto detail jegging, the Fur hood puffer vest and the Amber rose earthen tribal scarf… This has footy season with my teenager written all over it!!!! ?
You ways look amazing. You brighten up myday5. Love the jeggins.
Hi Jen
I love the classic lines. Much of my shopping I do at another well known store but mostly all my leggings etc are light weight jersey. I’d love to be altruistic and say that I’m entering the comp to win for someone else, but I designated 2016 the year of me and I’m working hard to make it so!
If I could choose items they would be the longline self stripe cardigan-dress up or down simply by changing shoes; the pull on ponte pant- what a fabulous cut for a fuller figure; and the amber rose marble print scarf-for a splash of that beach colour.
Ps, have booked in for beard control lol.
OH my, I want EVERYTHING !!!
But seriously….. I want EVERYTHING !!!
Definitely the stretch skinny jeans for me, I love to much bread n butter with my soups so need some give and take (from
The jeans)
I’ve only just discovered your blog and all I can say is wow !
Your style and colourings are fab and you always look so lovely.
Being a blonde myself I can relate to all your colour choices. I think indigo jeggings and chambray with a touch of tan are all ‘G’ (good) as my 15 year old son would say. Having the chance to win a voucher would make my day, my husband is out of work at the moment and the prospect of buying myself anything new is looking a bit grim. So anyway here goes and let’s see what the Universe spills out. I will definitely go and check out this range of clothes. Thanks for the opportunity to comment
Cheers
Amanda
I would buy the pull on pointe pant with pocket trim and team it with the long line self striped cardi and 3/4 sleeve printed top. I like to buy whole outfits but also look what I can team this up with in my wardrobe. As I have put on weight most of my clothes are not fitting so I have a small wardrobe to look in and I really can’t afford to buy any clothes.
Looking fabulous as always Jen ?. I’ve checked out the Beme collection and I’m loving so many pieces but in particular the slim leg cargo pants, 3/4 sleeve button detail cowl neck top, military longline trench vest and the romantic lace front top. Simply in love with the gorgeous plum/burgundy colour this season!
I clicked on ‘Styling Curvy’ on Instagram
She said check out my blog as fast as you can!
I did lo and behold and what a surprise,
A $150 voucher from BeMe to spend in a store with clothes in my size!
The pressure set in, what would I pick?
I knew it immediately a warm winter knit, and also some jeggings with long legs they will fit!
A scarf and some accessories always a hit.
My style is casual with a touch of boho,
BeMe your clothes will give me a warm winter glow!
Styling Curvy your advice is second to none and by entering this competition I hope I have won!!!
Jodie, your answer was so creative and made me smile, you are the winner!
I definitely need some jeggins (was only saying this to my daughter last night. Also listing after the orange longline cardigan as I love a bit of color in winter!
