How’s your preparations for Mothers Day going? Are you planning a morning sleep in…or maybe an afternoon siesta is more your style?
Here’s the last in my series of ‘breakfast trays’, have you been enjoying them? I certainly enjoyed styling them because…taste test!
Today’s tray is blue, yellow and grey and teams with the bed linen that up until recently was on my bed.
Sometimes a little sentimental touch is what a Mum needs on Mothers Day especially if her babies are all big ‘n grown up…like mine. I made this little scrapbook chipboard album to remind me of how freakin adorable my little ‘Batmans’ were. How much fun are dress ups hey?
I picked up this tumbler from Freedom a few months ago because it’s polka dot and yellow and I couldn’t walk past it. I have my morning coffee in this tumbler and it’s super chirpy and happy. Oh it’s current stock and Freedom have some pretty awesome crockery at the moment, you might like to pay them a visit or leave a big hint lying around 🙂
There’s just something about grey and yellow isn’t there? I adore it and I also adore grey and mustard together…it’s the 80’s chick in me.
I also love books, but I must confess I really love picture books! Like a coffee table book. Do you follow ‘Humans of New York’ on social media? Or on the blog? It’s so good, and the book is gold, filled with so many heart warming and heart tugging stories.
Ahhh, boiled eggs, I love an eggcup and cracking the top off an egg. What’s your secret to getting the perfect boiled egg? Perfect for me is a gooey yolk, perfect for dipping toast soldiers into. Porridge is always a good idea when the weather turns cold, especially if you add a dollop of cream and some honey…comfort food right? 🙂
A pretty pink rose and freesia to end on because they are just so darn girly.
Think of me when I’m pulling on my sneakers and colourful tights on Mothers Day morning as I prepare to walk in The Mothers Day Classic. I can’t wait to get amongst it, this is the first one I’ll be participating in that I’m actually well. If you see me, for goodness sake come and introduce yourself and say hi!
Whatever you are doing for Mothers Day I hope it fills your heart with joy and for those missing their Mums I’m sending you a big warm hug.
What’s your plans? tell me 🙂
