I know it’s summer but seriously these new boots are too darn cute not to get an outing.
Ankle boots can be worn all year round (thank goodness) and when I spied the new release Sabina ankle boot from Country Road I put them on my wish list. Sunday night I took a peek online at availability and had a little panic…there were only 2 pairs of size 42 left in Adelaide!
Crap! I juggled some funds and used some from my business account (first time I’ve dipped into that account) and before I knew it I had a confirmation email for my order.
Roll on Wednesday and Ding Dong, dog goes mad, barking loudly and my heart beats faster as I know it’s my boots being delivered. I’d hoped I would like them but to be honest I was nervous. I have a wide size 42 foot, I mean what could go wrong ordering boots on the internet hey?
Turns out nothing went wrong. I love them. They love my feet!
Almond toe, soft leather, zips and a soft blush hue…swoon. What I really love about these boots is the double zips that both work. The zips make slipping my foot into the boot a dream and also give me style flexibility. Uhuh, both zips up means a more tapered at the ankle boot…1 zip down (on the outside) gives a little relaxed gape and just looks kinda cool or go all out and undo both zips for a little extra relaxed form.
I received a little present last week from Natalie at Three Parsons, I know, it was an awesome surprise and she couldn’t have chosen better. I’m teaming this pretty cotton ‘Lace detail Kaftan tunic in multi’ with some soft blue denim jeans and my new boots. Seriously, how gorgeous is this top?!
I love a little ‘Boho’, sadly it doesn’t always love my large frame but this top has stunning lace detailing which breaks up the bands of pretty floral, 3/4 sleeves, great v neck and look at the flattering soft curve hem.
My jeans are picking up on the blues and greens in the top and the ‘just there’ blush in the boot teams beautifully with the rose pinks in the top. The lace detail acts like a statement necklace so I only needed to add a simple pendant.
See how the light boot top n tails with my hair…it helps to cement my outfit. I even chose my moroon framed glasses because moroon, pink and blue together create a soft romantic palette.
Cuffing my jean just a little to expose some skin actually balances the exposed skin at my wrists and my décolletage while creating the illusion of being taller…pretty clever. Oh and I wore my boots with the outside zip down to go with the relaxed vibe of my outfit 🙂
What do you think?…did I nail ‘Boho”?
What about the boots…I know you all loved them when I posted a pic yesterday ,do you think you might try a lighter boot?
Til next time,
