Lately I have received a mountain of mail & it all has a theme…”what Frankie4 footwear styles do I recommend?”
Oh that old chestnut! Well Winter is almost upon us & while we are busy popping away our summer wardrobe and pulling out our winter woollies, this is a great time to answer your questions & prepare your footwear for the cooler seasons.
It’s hard for me to choose my favourites from the Frankie4 range, most of you would know I have several Frankie4 styles I love! But really there’s two styles that I love season after season. There’s also one new style that I am currently showing the love to! Wanna know what they are and how to style them? Read on.
It’s no secret I am a fan of a sneaker. Flat shoes are my jam and I try to wear them wherever and whenever I can.
Wear your sneakers with confidence ladies and they will always look ace.
The Frankie4 Nat sneakers are my numero uno choice for comfort and styling.
I’m often asked what colour sneakers to purchase, let’s not beat about the bush…white is where it’s at, but my soft spot lays with Nat in cream, especially in winter. It’s just softer and a little more muted which means she will pair nicely with winter colour palettes.
In exciting news Nat is now available in tan and OMGEEE I love this colour too! If you tend to wear more autumn tones in winter than Tan is where it’s at for you.
Let’s not forget socks. If you want a cool vibe then purchase socks that have a low profile and sit ‘inside’ your sneaker. Did you know that when you purchase a pair of Frankie4 socks all net proceeds are donated to support the Brainchild Foundation which helps support seriously sick children who are affected by brain and spinal chord tumours? I love this!
What Frankie4 NAT has to offer…
- Leather upper (so easy to keep clean)
- Leather lined footbed
- Leather lined with specifically placed foam lining to alleviate pressure on skin
- Gusseted tongue so can be worn with or without laces. If you require a looser fit, simply cut the elastic to release the gusset (be careful not to cut the leather)
- Podiatrist & Physiotherapist designed Dual Density Polyurethane Sole. Lightweight with durable outer sole, and softer mid-sole
And don’t be mistaken that sneakers are just for being active – you can team these kicks with a super cute skirt & denim jacket to keep it casual, or dress down a cocktail dress that you just don’t get enough wear out of! The sky is the limit!
There’s days when you need to elevate your style and when you can’t face heels, a lace up Derby style shoe is where it’s at. Think of them as the stylish big sister to a sneaker, all the comfort but a little more amped up in the style stakes. They also have a preppy vibe.
I love to team them with jeans, add a classic tee and blazer or rock it out with a leather jacket. Just remember to balance out the masculine style shoe with some pretty jewellery and you are hot to trot.
I’ve tried several styles of Derby and keep coming back the Frankie4 Beth shoe.
Beth in ‘blonde’ is my favourite and she looks right at home with jeans and a crisp white shirt. Throw on a chunky knit and you are ready for a winter stroll with a pit stop for a cheeky hot chocolate. If white is your nemesis when sipping hot chocolates then feel free to swap out the white & wear a black or khaki shirt.
If black shoes are more you, then you are in luck! Black is the most classic of the Brogues. Wear black brogues with some black pants, a chunky knit and a military inspired jacket to take them from the Boardroom and onto the street!
Adding a metallic shoe is an easy way to bring some bling! Shades of blush pink, silver and gold will all work seamlessly into your wardrobe. Don’t worry about clashing colours – that’s part of the fun! How about a metallic with everyday jeans and a tweed blazer to channel an old school menswear vibe or go ‘gritty pretty’ and team with a long skirt with pleats and swing about in tulle or satin.
I love how Beth effortlessly allows my style personality to shine. She can definitely work for you too and is available in ten different colour/style variations, so go wild!
What Frankie4 BETH has to offer…
- Podiatrist & Physiotherapist designed moulded sole
- Durable rubber outer sole, EVA mid sole with an additional 4mm of cushioning under foot bed
- Leather upper
- Leather lined foot bed
- Leather lined with strategically placed foam lining to alleviate pressure on the skin
Sure we all have that high heel that we trot out for special occasions, but to be honest my hips and knees just ‘aint what they used to! Now I favour comfort every single time. This means superior cushioning with a stable heel & I choose a heel height that works for my body. Thankfully I can do an 8cm heel in the Frankie4 Izzy in Gunmetal and Ashley in black because these boots are backed by technology.
But if I had to choose a favourite Frankie4 ankle boot, it’s the Rach. It’s just the right heel height & comes in four unbeatable colours.
The point of an ankle boot is to show off your ankle, so cuff or roll your jeans and expose some skin. If you are wearing a tapered leg cut like leggings/jeans or it’s super cold where you are then tuck them into your boots, that’s cool too. Tucking will still ‘show off the curves’ of your ankle. Skinny leg jeans can be cuffed or tucked but boyfriend jeans definitely need to be cuffed.
All these styles also offer…
- Podiatrist & Physiotherapist designed removable Functional Foot beds to give a custom and comfy fit
- Heel support, cradle and cushioning
- Arch support Forefoot cushioning
- Every box comes with Patented Custom Fit Pack to fit wide, standard and narrow feet.
Don’t forget your dresses & skirts when it comes to ankle boots either. Ankle boots love a pattern – try a floral midi dress or leopard skirt & watch those boots shine!
So the bottom line? It’s super hard to choose my favourite Frankie4 style! BUT, your wardrobe will thank you for a sneaker, a Derby or an ankle boot this Winter. And thanks to Frankie4’s technology, your feet will thank you too!
Til next time
