It’s that crazy time of the year when stores start stocking the next season fashion before it even feels like we’ve finished the last one!
We’re still sweating it out in heatwave weather but our favourite labels are already tempting us with long sleeves, darker colours & wintery patterns!
But don’t let that put you off having a catch up at all your favourite brands. Not all the labels you love will have “winter”stock. Aussie designers are realising our seasons aren’t quite the same as our European neighbours & they’re getting better at catering to our more in-between weather by dropping different ranges more often & with more trans-seasonal styles.
So with all of that in mind, let’s take a look at some of my favourite Latest Release styles & how they can take you from hot to not! I mean the weather, hot or not, get it?! I think this heatwave is finally getting to me…… !
Dresses
All of these dresses are totally wearable now. Team them with some sandals, slides or platforms for easy Autumn style. A mid sleeve is perfect for the old four seasons in one day type of weather we can experience right now. In cooler weather you could add some leggings under this cute You Hit the Right Spot dress from Taking Shape.
You might have already seen me out & about in this gorgeous Bohemian Traders Fiesta Midi dress. It looks wintery but it’s a lightweight fabric & you could totally still get away with wearing it now with some sandals or slides.
And I love the carefree boho Summer vibe of this Adrift Misha wrap dress, easy to wear with sandals now or boots in cooler weather. And how cute would it look with a denim jacket?!

Keep It Casual
Comfy classics are still around. I personally love the idea of ‘lounge wear’ as an actual thing! These pieces will take you for a stroll along the coast to coffee with the girls. Comfortable & chic – it’s a win win ladies!
Katies Elbow Drop Shoulder Printed Tee (XS-2XL), 17 Sundays Leopard Print Harem Pants (12-26), Taking Shape Alla Moda Dress (XXS-XL)
Tops
A shirt is a great trans-seasonal piece. These shirts are all still light weight enough to wear on a warmer day.
Adjusting the shirt to suit the weather is easy when you can roll up or down sleeves, buttons let you layer open over a tee if needed (or just for a little more skin!) & adding a scarf is a great way to get more wear from a t-shirt!
Taking Shape Along the Dots Shirt (12-24), Adrift Swing Tee in Misty Grey (2XL-4XL), Bohemian Traders Josie Top (XXS-4XL)
Jackets
Layering is the ultimate in between season fashion trick! Over a cami, singlet or t-shirt, a jacket or cardigan will get more wear than saving it purely for a Winter’s day! These three pieces would all find a place in your wardrobe right now & over the months to come. Great to see these three trends of ath-leisure, stripes & animal print are sticking around!
Taking Shape Line for Line Cardi (XXS-XL), 17 Sundays Striped Duster Coat (XS-XL), Bohemian Traders Blazer in Animal Print (XXS-4XL)
Floral
All is not lost ladies! There are still plenty of Summer inspired goodies out there! Florals will still be a big trend this Winter, so don’t hold back in stocking up on something pretty! Boots, sneakers, tights, leggings & jackets will all make these pieces totally wearable even in the colder months.
By Samantha Midnight Bloom Dress (6-22), Adrift Tulip Skirt (2XL-4XL), By Samantha Flamingo Fling Dress (6-22)
So there you have it ladies, styles that will take you from the heat we’re still having, to the colder months that will be knocking on our door before we know it! Remember most of your fave online stores will have a Latest Release tab or something similar so you can always see their newest stock. Or sign up to their Newsletter if they have one, then you’ll always be on top of their latest looks!
Til next time
