I get a little giddy when a new season ‘look book’ lands in my inbox, just like when I received the new season one from Harlow. It’s no secret I’m a fan of their clothes, in the past not every item has tickled my fancy but certainly most and the superior quality is one of the things that draws me back time after time….and my readers too who are fans.
Here’s what you won’t find in the new collection, you won’t find …mass produced, much colour or boring…right on brand.
However you will find… pattern, print, sexy, bold, stormy greys, monochrome, premium quality, interchangeable pieces.
Here’s what I really dig about this latest collection, it allows loyal fans to ‘build and expand’ their collection. If you have Harlow in your wardrobe then this new season is going to help you to create a hard working signature style. Take some existing winter pieces and mix them up with the new season spring/summer pieces and be the style magician in your own wardrobe.
Harlow is well known for monochromatic pieces, if you need colour (I do) then slip it in with accessories and the odd piece already in your wardrobe. Black, white and grey are great foundation building pieces. If you work in an office you can easily add Harlow to your corporate look while also adding some cheeky personality…not boring!
Harlow have stepped it up with this collection, I’m crushing on the Summer Diva Jagged Lines T-shirt dress. Uhuh for all the fans of the Diva dress here’s a summer version to have some fun with. It has the same fabulous dry knit jersey fabrication, same much loved silhouette, and Harlow have extended the length to give you an easy care/easy wear dress variation that can take you pretty much anywhere, from beach, to dinner, to date night….and how about that print? 🙂
Layer this baby up with an existing Harlow jacket from your wardrobe, add sexy heels and a great clutch and you’re set to party or team it with converse sneakers, add a chambray shirt slung low on the hips and some great sunglasses and you’re ready for a coffee catch up with the girls. If you love the beach as much as I do then pop it over your bathers, slip into your favourite summer sandals, grab your tote and you’re ready to run errands then hit the beach for a swim.
The Dark side of the moon shift dress” is a dress I would definitely wear, I was instantly drawn to the swirling moonscape print and signature pleather bind detail and curved accents that all take a simple silhouette to the next level. Add some great wedges, a pop of colour with a clutch and a statement necklace…are you feeling it?
The black magic pencil skirt and top is perfection in the world of ‘pretty/tough’…. With mesh and pleather detailing it had me at ‘hello’! The modern brocade pleather detailing is edgy AND beautiful and also comes in a top. Wear the two pieces together or enjoy wearing them as separates. SWOON!
This skirt could take you from office to date night and would also be a perfect choice for attending a wedding. Add the top to black work pants, Harlow ‘black night skinny leg’ denim jeans or another very cool skirt, the ‘zip me up’ pencil skirt…wit woo!
The possibilities are endless…especially if you’ve been collecting Harlow pieces for a while. The team have captured the essence of summer in this latest collection and I’m so proud of what Kerry and Angelo have achieved.
I’ve got my eye on a few pieces, to see the whole collection take a look at the LOOK BOOK and let me know what your favourites are. I’d love to know.
