I’ve had such a busy week but so,so rewarding…that’s when you know you love what you do! On Sunday I woke up to see my phone flashing and binging, I’d responded the evening before with a video message to an email that attacked me. Well it seems it resonated with you all and my little video had 41/2 thousand views and a reach of thousands more. Holy moly, it blew my freakin mind and I’m so very grateful that everyone in the ‘Styling Curvy Community’ responded with kindness…you’re a decent and good bunch, pat yourselves on the back!
I treated you all to my vanilla slice recipe, you can find it here.
Monday was Australia Day and the Mister and I headed into the city to the River Torrens for ‘Fork on the Road’…a little food van festival. We love tasting the different cuisines and getting lost in the market vibe and this time it came with extras because it was Australia Day, there was live music and celebrations with people from all nationalities joining in. I love our city here in Adelaide, it’s vibrant and beautiful. You can read about what Australia Day means to me here.
Tuesday saw master 16 head back to school, the roads were busier and mothers everywhere breathed a collective sigh of relief as they sipped their morning coffee…well ok some had fistfuls of damp tissues but not me…I enjoyed the coffee and quiet. I caught up with my friend and headed to Semaphore for lunch and chowed down a scrummy meal at Mr Pilgrims which ended with this cannoli…OMG! It was sooo worth the tummy bloat and sneaky fart at yoga later that night LOL! Oh I also sat next to a couple who were celebrating their daughters first day at school (fistpump), cute coupling date and the mum let me know that she reads my blog… Love meeting you guys!
THIS was by far your favourite outfit that I wore this week…and you loved my ‘Tilda” necklace from The Adorn Collective!
On Wednesday it was another visit to the dentist for a checkup on my mouth after having a wisdom tooth removed, I’m pleased to say that it’s slowly getting better. I also popped down to Cotton on Broadway to do a profile story on Katie and her store, the post will be up next week but you can find them on Facebook here. You guys love these tunic tops and snapped up loads when I posted this pic:-)
Speaking of snapping up a buy, you also fell in love with these Bella Bodies Camyz Shaperz and bought up big. You can read my review here.
On Thursday I had a lovely catchup with my mate Steph from Infinite Styling for a good natter and to share we are at in our business’s. You can keep up to date with infinite Styling on their Facebook page here. How good is the view from my local coffee place?! Here’s a recent pic of me with Steph…How amazing is her hair and those stunning eyes?!
I also headed to the salon for a root job…mind outa the gutter it was a touch up on my roots to banish the greys and then a trim. I used to be a hairdresser and for years couldn’t get comfy in the hairdressers chair but these days it’s a treat I look forward to. I always feel soo good after a salon visit don’t you?
Friday was about eating and friends! Morning brunch with two friends then lunch with Guin from ‘Guins Everyday Style’ and her delightful daughter Sophie. We chatted about life, work, blogging and more….she’s looking gorgeous and her baby bump is so cute. Oh yeah, she’s expecting number two mid year. You can check out Guins Facebook here and blog here.
I whipped up some burgers on Friday night for the menfolk, you can get my recipe here.
Friday night I headed to the Lollipop markets at Seacliff Esplanade with a friend. I had a great time checking out the stores, meeting the stall holders, eating and just drinking in the whole market vibe. Here’s a sneak peek pic but I’m going to do a blog post on the market so stay tuned.
Speaking of market I will be at Gilles St market Sunday Feb 15th hanging with Kerry from Harlow. Uhuh, Harlow are coming over from Melbourne to showcase their clothing to all the Adelaidies 🙂 come on down for a look and a try on, you can even buy! We’d love to meet you all
