It’s been a while since I wrote a whole blog post around one outfit but this special dress deserved it, and sharing is caring. Recently I was contacted by a brand new Aussie plus size label ‘Lillianna Plus’, they’re getting ready to launch (next week) and were kind enough to give me a sneak peek of their new line.
Even better, they kindly sent me some pieces (that I chose) to road-test. As soon as I opened the happy mail I was in styling heaven. Autumn colours-tick ✓bohemian vibe-tick ✓floaty dress-tick ✓fits- tick ✓ Tick, tick, tickety tick ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓
I love a dress because it’s a complete outfit, throw it on, add footwear and layers and you’re good to go. YES, layers…I love you Autumn♥
Personally I’m mad for ankle boots with a dress and at the first sign of an Autumn breeze I’m packing away Summer sandals and pulling out my Winter boots. Are you the same?
When I unwrapped this *print dress I immediately had a ‘trying on session’, grabbing belts n boots and styling it several different ways. I love a little floaty bohemian dress but when you’re curvy like me they aren’t easy to find, so when I find one I love…I love it hard!
This dress has a tassel tie in the front, floaty sleeves, a slightly ruffled hem and a print that makes my heart beat faster. It also has all the colours of autumn. I’ve styled it by plucking the lighter oatmeal colour (which also happens to be my hair colour), and added a knit long line vest and boots to match.
You can totally wear this dress without a belt, although it’s a little shapeless, but I dug deep in the wardrobe and found my all time favourite belt. I slung it low on my hips (it’s a pinch more snug than it used to be) and flounced the dress a little and suddenly I was channelling a gypsy.
Then I removed the belt, while still keeping the vest….
What do you think? Do you like it?
You know I’m totally going to try this dress with chambray don’t you! I can also see it with a faux fur vest, denim jacket, puffer vest and even leggings. Heck you could even pop it over your skinny leg jeans.
Inspired? I hope so, autumn is here and it’s time to embrace it. EDIT, Lilliannaplus is now live, click HERE.
Til next time,
Jen x

Love the dress, love the patterns, colours all of it. You look awesome in it. Especially with the vest and yes I can see it working with denim. I do love Autumn I think the fashion is better than Summer xx
Thanks Jane? yes, I get excited as soon as we can layer in the cooler months, sooo much texture and great fashion .
It looks awesome! I love the way you’ve teamed it up with the ankle boots and think it looks ace with and without the belt, which is pretty swoonsome in itself! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the range.
Thanks so much Sammie, I’m looking forward to the launch too. It’s a good thing for ladies with curves when they get more choice.
I was lucky enough to be involved in the Lillianna Plus photo shoot yesterday (it was such a fun day!) and loved that dress too! You are rocking it and the colours really suit you x
I saw your shoot pic Kirsten, you looked great!
You look fantastic Jen, Boho is my favorite dressing style. It suits you X
Caitlyn this dress would be gorgeous on you! Boho is definitely very you X
Love that boho print and a dress that can be worn a multitude of ways – so perfect for Autumn. I have never thought about oatmeal boots before but you’ve given me some inspo!
Thanks Beth. I love boots in colour, especially in shades of blonde as it’s an easy way to pull an outfit together (using my hair colour)…I love easy ?
I am totally inspired! Digging out my winter boots and a floaty dress for a breakfast date this morning instead of jeans and a t. I love seeing people rocking their outfits, especially when they’re as fabulous as you are!
Oh that’s so lovely Kitty, Thankyou!
Enjoy breakfast x
Looking gorgeous. I can’t wait to bring out the ankle boots… I just need to find them. Annoyingly I seem to have misplaced an entire packing box of shoes since we moved. I’m guessing they were marked incorrectly as storage and will be at the bottom of a huge pile of boxes awaiting our next house move, this time next year. I may need to go shopping in the meantime.
No way!! I would cry real tears if my shoes went MIA. The silver lining is you have permission to hit the shops ??
Boho babe Jen. I love the print and colours. I’ve been rocking my ankle boots too. Love them! Xx
Thanks Shannon, how good are ankle boots right 🙂
