Wearing print pants is a trend that has been around for a few seasons now and will continue for a few more…and with good reason.
Print pants are perfect for injecting personality into your outfit.
They are also a fab way of adding pattern and colour and they are awesome at distracting the eye.
Yeah, with print you can keep the eye flowing over those bits that you would rather camouflage…me likey!
Personally I like to do block colour with print but feel free to clash your prints with a print top. To break up my ‘block’ colour I’m a fan of the statement necklace, also the perfect way to create the neckline you need.
I picked up these pants from SEED and was hooked straight away on their comfort, softness and the way the colour top n tailed with my hair perfectly. This means that they will always look like they were meant for me…winning 🙂 For those of you that think SEED is for skinny peeps (like I did) these pants are a 16 and generous. Not all styles of pants are available in a 16 but the range is pretty good. I also buy a lot of tees from SEED as I find them pretty generous.
To get the most from my pants I really need to be able to make 3-6 outfits from them to make the dollar per wear worthwhile. Well I have easily made 3 outfits here, one bold (coral blouse), one casual (chambray shirt) and one evening (black blouse). These three simple looks will take me places like the movies, meetings, shopping, lunch and dinner.
Adding a heel elongates my leg and gives a more polished feel but remember to flash a little ankle though, showing some skin will give the illusion of longer and leaner legs. With elastic cuffs pull them up a little and twist to ‘lock’ in place but if you are wearing a flat sandal you might like to leave them a little longer. If you want to make a ‘statement’ team a dark shoe with a light pant, it’s not a ‘rule’ though, just a suggestion. These black shoes work even better because of the black in the print and in my jewellery 🙂
Don’t think because you are curvy that you need to stick to black pants…go and give a light pair a try, oh and if they have print even better! Do you have a favourite pair of print pants?
Til next time,
Jen x

I love the look of these Seed print pants. I’ve never been in Seed. Going to fix this on my next shopping expedition!
AWESOME! Even better as they have a sale on at the moment. Not on these pants though…yet
Hi Jen, you look amazing as usual! I love printed pants, and chambray, and black. Coral – I love on everyone else – but it is wayyy out of my comfort zone. No Seed here on the Sunshine Coast, sadly, I see so many things on the net from Seed that I love. Hope you had a lovely Christmas, Kathryn xx
Thanks Kathryn, try a little coral in some jewellery or a scarf, black will make it pop and chambray, grey and pinks will soften it. Sad you don’t have a SEED, there’s always online though. Maybe next time you get to Brisvegas you can hit them up and try a few of their staple styles on, then you will feel confident ordering online. I’ve had a lovely Xmas, in go slow mode and loving it! Happy Xmas to you Kathryn x
I love print pants and have had some really wild ones in the past. These days I’m a little more subdued but love to be daring when the mood takes me. Like you, I prefer a simple top in a block colour to let the pants be the star of the show. I’ve yet to d brace the print with print trend that is around. Love your look and your style.

Double print and print clashing isn’t easy to pull off Magda and it’s not for everyone 🙂 x
