Random acts of kindness are fun and heart warming and nice to receive as well as give. Have you ever received or performed Random act of kindness?
I’ve been on the end of both. Giving just warms the heart and induces a smile, don’t you think?
Equally, that moment when someone goes the extra mile and does something kind for you is pretty awesome too…especially if you’ve been having a crap time.
A random act of kindness can be for a stranger or someone you know…pretty good huh?! They might cost a few dollars or maybe a bunch of dollars or it could be something you ‘do’ for someone that costs zero dollars.
So what random acts of kindness can you perform? Let’s call them a RAK. Because its shorter to type and is kinda like code.
-Coffee for the next person in line
-Pay for flowers for the next order at your favourite florist.
-Send a card with a beautiful inspiring quote to someone.
-Bake an extra batch of biscuits for a friend who might appreciate not having to spend an hour in the kitchen.
-Bring morning tea for the office.
-Donate your old clothing
-Compliment a co worker
-Let someone through ahead of you in the supermarket queue
-Tip your Barista
-Give your nan a call
-Send dessert to another table at the restaurant you are dining in

-Take a few stray trolleys back to the trolley bay
-Take your neighbours bin out…or bring it in
-Compliment a mother wrangling tired children
-Smile at a stranger…not in a creepy way

See, it doesn’t need to be expensive or difficult. A RAK can be simple but it’s the intention behind it. Your RAK can make a big difference to a person day or even their life. There’s 7 days in a week, 52 weeks in a year so you’ve got time on your side…start today and perform a RAK.
I promise the feeling you get from giving is just as good as receiving. What’s been the best RAK you’ve ever given or received?
