I totally love receiving parcels in the post and I gotta tell you when I tore open the satchel and clapped eyes on this swimsuit from Curvy Swimwear my heart skipped a beat…CORAL…best. colour. ever! I’m seriously getting down with trying on new swimwear and taking photos to share with you all…I know who AM I?!
For years I covered up but now I embrace my inner beach babe and summer is not a dirty word. All photos are taken by my mister who is an Architect not a photographer and no images are altered…all real n true just like you n me 🙂
I pop on my cozzie and the mister and I head to our local beach armed with an IPhone, a spray tan and a sense of humor. Look at me twirling on the beach like my first name is Elle, Cindy or Miranda LOL.
I know I have a few things in common with the saggy baggy elephant but hey I’m 43, curvy with boobs made from my back, a few extra scars than most beach babes but I also have pretty good self acceptance and body confidence. Here’s the thing, we will always be our own worst critic…every time…so stop it. Stop beating up on yourself, give yourself a hi 5 for being awesome, find yourself a great cozzie and enjoy the summer.
This coral bandeau one piece swimsuit from Curvy Swimwear is all kinds of awesome! It has a stunning metallic lustre and the full body ruching screams designer while camouflaging a few lumps n bumps…gotta love that gentle ruching 🙂
While it doesn’t have underwire it does have side boning and a padded panel of support across the bust which does wonders for a girls confidence. The bust also has a crossover which keeps the eye moving in a fluid motion, not settling on any area of the bust.
Removable straps…genius! I took these babies off and instantly felt transformed. These straps are adjustable and can be worn three ways, halter, criss-crossed or over the shoulder. I have never worn a strapless swimsuit but when I twirled on the beach sans straps I instantly felt a little bit extra sexy…oooh ahhh…even the mister had a grin!
Not only is the Italian metallic fabric shimmery and luxe but there’s gold detailing on the strap hardware and a little signature gold metal tag with palm tree logo attached to the leg line. Classy!
As with all good swimwear if you treat them with a little TLC they will hold their shape and colour and serve you well so here’s my top tips for looking after your investment.
. always rinse your swimsuit in cold water after swimming.
. don’t wring your swimsuit or leave it rolled up in a towel.
. dry your swimsuit in a shady area, harsh sun isn’t kind.
Til next time,
Jen x
