So, spring has sprung and blossoms are blooming, birds are chirping and the sun is finally shining. Well, if you live anywhere other than where I live that is. Mother nature is having a full blown tanty and she’s brought wild winds, persistent rain and even hail! FFS!
I wish the sun was shining, because this foul weather teamed with the impending full moon does nothing for my mental health. I guess the next best thing I can do is have a HUGE wardrobe sort out and get ready for the spring/summer fashions. Have you done one yet?
Some wardrobe edit tips…
I’ve been busy editing my wardrobe, donating bags of clothes and packing some winter pieces away. It’s tough packing away gorgeous clothes but I have the worlds smallest wardrobe space so it has to be done so I headed to Bunnings and purchased proper packing boxes and a tape gun and got busy packing. If you need a hand editing your wardrobe here’s some tips
+If it’s ripped, torn, stained or pilled ditch it.
+ If you can alter or repair a garment then do so.
+If it’s haunting you or taunting you then sell or donate. There is no use hanging on to clothes because you spent too much money on them, they ‘might’ fit you one day or you had a racey night with Steve whatshisface.
+Write a list of the gaps, the things that are missing but you really need to be able to pull all your pieces together into hard working outfits.
+ I prefer to colour block my clothes (hey I worked in retail it’s what I do) but you can also hang in categories so you know exactly what you have.
Β +Donβt forget to give your shoes and accessories the once over too.
Β +Throw out broken or discoloured jewellery or if youβre handy repair them.
Right, now I can finally see what’s left and work out what I may need for the season ahead. Turns out I don’t need much because ‘Style blogger’ π
So how about I show you a few new additions to my wardrobe?
You all know I’m more than partial to a tan and blue combo and this little duck is excited to say that new blue threads are in my wardrobe YAY. Like this amazing Vesna dress available from Kennedys Boutique. It’s long, but can be flounced courtesy of the waist tie.
and what’s a dress without pockets?
has a sexy curved side split too…
and can be worn on or off the shoulder. Shop the Vesna Dress HERE
What’s that, you noticed the tan sandals? I mean, come on how could you not π These Sara mid heel sandals are fast becoming a firm favourite in my shoedrobe. New to the spring/summer collection from Frankie4 footwear they tick lots of boxes. Tan works back with pretty much everything so having tan shoes in your wardrobe will mean you will always have stylish feet.
The plaited ankle and foot strap lends itself to a boho vibe, and with a 6.5 cm heel it’s very wearable. These heels are podiatrist designed (like all Frankie4 footwear), have amazing cushioning in the heel and forefoot and stable arch support. So they are functional as well as fancy.
With a leather upper, leather lining and leather footbed there is no scrimping here. Just lots of soft buttery leather goodness. The adjustable ankle strap with buckle caters for comfort too. You can shop the tan Sara heel HERE and she is also available in black HERE.
Join in the fun
If you love your Frankie4 shoes (and I know a lot of you do) then join in and share pics on Instagram or Facebook. When you post a pic of your glorious self in your frankie4 shoes use the hashtag #howiworemyfrankie4. This way I can see all of your pics and when others search the hashtag #howiworemyfrankie4 they can see how all the ladies styled their shoes…you will be inspiring others!
So how will you wear your Frankie4? Have you done a wardrobe edit?
Bought any new pieces for spring? Leave a comment below because I live for that.
Til next time,
Jen x

I will be doing a wardrobe cull very shortly but I’m mainly focussing on shoes!!! I need to invest in colour I’m loving all the colours of spring and patterns so that’s on my list…. Bought the Country Road Soft Jegging in black for work and they are super duper comfy…

Yes I’ve bought a couple of beautiful maxi skirts from Birdsnest, but they’re super long, so need to have them altered. I’ve done a shoe edit……omg so many shoes and sandles! What was I thinking, love that they are now all in see through boxes and vastly reduced! Now to tackle the clothes ?. Love you in that navy dress by the way…..
Love your hints I am reinventing some of my clothes so U can wear again. Live the tan shoes, I also totally agree tan can be worn with any colour.
Loving the soft fabrics that have come out for summer too.
Do you think the quirky sand shoes will still be fashionable with dresses this season.
Keep up the hints

Hi Jen, I’ve been wondering where you were! Love the blue on you, I am a blue fanatic too. I just bought the new Frankie4 Hilary sandal, they will be getting their first outing tomorrow. I bought them for an upcoming Bali holiday. I love those Sara’s too, they would fit nicely into my wardrobe. I am moving to Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast next year, so will do a major cull then. My wardrobe is always pretty well organised because OCD but I do have shoes which I don’t wear anymore, I might put them on EBay or something I guess. It’s easy to just donate but hell they cost a small bloody fortune! Anyway good to see you back, Kathryn x
Enjoy your Bali holiday!
Culled my wardrobe a few weeks ago and donated a ton of clothes to Fitted For Work. They are always looking for good quality clothes, shoes and accessories and are a not for profit organization. Next job is getting rid of all my pilled jumpers and cardigans.
Great work!
