O.K. it’s time for tray number two. I’m using the same tray but changing up the bed linen and of course the content of the tray.
This one is all ‘about shades of green and blue’…my favourite colours. I reckon this is what my kids would serve up because its super dooper easy. A pretty cut glass filled with pot set yoghurt and topped with muesli and a fanned strawberry. It’s pretty huh!
Add a croissant with some ham (nitrate free for me) and spinach…cheese if you like and a pot of chutney on the side. A sweet paper doilie doesn’t go astray either because…cute!
Pop some blooms in a mason jar, add a personal message or card and a pretty pot of tea…ahhh 🙂
I’m sure a magazine and a gift wouldn’t go astray, oh and my boys would need to pop my mobile phone on the tray because I’m a blogger and I would totally be taking a pic and putting it straight on Instagram LOL.
How pretty is my bed linen? This is my current bed linen and I’m in love with the Kantha quilt* sent to me by ‘Peacocks and Paisleys’. I have a thing for beautiful linens and tableware and am delighted to be working with Priya, she designs every piece and then they are hand printed in India. Every piece is just a little different because they are handmade. The fish scale cushion cover* teams beautifully with my quilt and I’ve added a pop of colour and print with my European pillowcases I picked up from Bed Bath n Table ( they are from Morgan and Finch). I love the bohemian eclectic vibe so kept it going with print sheets and pillowcases in a soft blue and a throw rug (not pictured) with a Turkish feel.
Oh and I’ve folded a table runner* in half (from Peacocks and Paisleys) and used it to line the tray. It normally lives in the lounge room on a hall table but like my clothes my home wares work hard too and I often utilise pieces in different ways and make them do double duty. See how I wrapped the cutlery in a pretty napkin* (again from Peacocks and Paisleys) and added some ribbon? Sometimes the little touches induce big smiles. Don’t forget my birthday giveaway where I’ve included a set of these napkins, have you entered?
Yum, I want this croissant right now! What’s your favourite filling for a croissant.
Yup this is one tray that would make me want to stay under the covers an hour or two longer. Blues and greens are just so serene and calming, especially with the addition of a pot of tea, tulips and freesias.
What flower would you love to see on your breakfast tray?
One more tray to come, are you inspired?
Til next time ,
Jen x
