It’s been a BIG week and to be honest I nearly skipped this weekly wrap post in favour of more sleep but I do love writing them so grab a cuppa and enjoy babes.
TRYING:
a new skin treatment. This week I enjoyed a face treatment of microdermabrasion with mask and peptide infusion with LED light. In short it was just under an hour on a bed at Silk Laser Clinic Hyde Park relaxing and being pampered. I left with my forty six year old face looking hydrated and fresh, bloody bliss. This is a treatment that removes impurities, resurfaces the skin and leaves it smooth, soft, hydrated and radiant. There is little down time, in fact this was my skin straight after I finished treatment, a little pink but within an hour it was looking amazing! Pic below taken immediately after treatment and before hair appointment to fix that regrowth situation.
EATING:
Christmas lollies!. When I was a kid there was always a large bowl of Christmas lollies on the table, and they always look better than they taste but tis the season so in my gob they go 🙂
ENJOYING:
Enjoying ALL the yum at 50sixone! Hey, that kinda rhymes :-)Today the Huz and I were invited to enjoy a meal at 50sixone at Prospect, while they are known as a magical dessert bar with New York inspired shakes they also serve brekky, lunch and various other light meals. We chose to head in for brunch because it’s pretty much our fave meal of the day.
We loved it so much we will head back next week for dinner with the boys for our ‘early Christmas’ celebrations, yup the eldest is coming home for a flying visit so we will be celebrating early.
READING:
When I was at the airport this week I picked up this book to purchase and about thirty seconds later someone pretty special tapped me on the shoulder to introduce themselves and ask if we can meet up sometime. I took it as a ‘sign’ and will be following up with that someone. Oh, the book is great, perfect for some inspiration heading into a new year.
EXCITED BY:

LISTENING TO:
the whirring of plane engines. A trip to Brisbane this week was fun, thanks to everyone who popped into Frankie4 Footwear to say ‘hi’.
DREAMING OF:
a clean deck and pergola. It has become a dumping ground for shit, figuratively and literally! There is furniture stacked that needs to be donated or dumped, a car bonnet courtesy of the son, and now the dog has taken to shitting on my mat FFS! I was hoping to get it sorted this weekend but I don’t see it happening, plus I want/need a new outdoor dining table/setting so if you have seen any cool ones that I don’t need to sell a kidney to buy (soooo freakin’ expensive) let me know.
THINKING ABOUT:
The MASSIVE week that is ahead! Among meetings and other things I have an event at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital Monday night, an appointment with a dietician and one with my oncologist, polo in the city (la-de-da) and of course the Kennedys Boutique show this Tuesday night.
If you are in Adelaide come along to celebrate the new shop opening on Wright St Adelaide, sip some bubbles and graze on some yummy food while enjoying a runway show (I am on the runway) and then shop up while enjoying a healthy discount. Just RSVP via the Kennedys Facebook page.
FEELING:
surprisingly chillaxed considering we are hurtling towards the end of the year and my office looked like THIS during the week. I am not putting any unnecessary pressure on myself at the moment, I am saying ‘NO” when needed and even scheduling in some timeout. Like, actually putting in my calendar ‘book NO appointments’, to give myself some breathing space. How are you doing? On the upside my office may have been a mess and not worthy of Pinterest but my entry was calm. For those playing along at home we moved the picture at the entry to the left 2 inches, still off centre but more aligned.

You look great and so confident. Well done.
Thanks xxx
I think you just sent me a sign. I was watching a show on TV a few weeks ago when The Game Changers book was mentioned and thought it would be a great read. I promptly forgot about it until I read your blog, so thanks! I will be downloading that tonight.
As for all your pretty dresses, you so rock a dress. I wish I could but always feel too frumpy (short, chubby legged girl). I don’t know which one of the above I love more. Maybe the last one with the off shoulder and all that lace work. Anyway, all look superb on you lovely.
Grab the book and pop it under the tree….a gift to yourself
Wow! Busy week. I guess those Christmas lollies give you the energy! Love the weekly wrap up Jen! xxxx
Tis the season…busy time
I’d really like to know the colour and brand of your lipstick the night you went to your husband’s work dinner please
It’s NYX matte EDEN
What a busy week you’ve had. Thanks for the wrap up. Have a fantastic time on Sunday with my gorgeous friend Sue x
