Here we go again, time for the weekly wrap up sharing my thoughts, feelings and what I wore from throughout the week.
TRYING…
Not to laugh at this snap the technician took just before she zapped me for laser hair removal. As you all know I am trying a few treatments at Silk Laser Clinics and so far I have had lip fillers (nothing too crazy), a touch of botox and will be having a course of facials and laser hair removal on my menopausal beard. I’ll have a blog post soon on how the fillers and botox went 🙂
EATING…
Smash avo and haloumi…again!
ENJOYING…
This is where I live, well I live in a house up the road but this is my hood. Henley Square at Henley Beach is somewhere I visit every day, it’s bustling with people enjoying the local cafes, restaurants and shopping and of course, the beach. At night, especially around sunset it’s breathtakingly beautiful.
READING…
All the things so much more clearly now I have a new phone that’s larger! I’m now one of those people that has to pull a book/phone/jar of sauce arms length away to read…ageing is good but fading eyesight is not.
LISTENING TO…
Birds as I fall to sleep! So many tweeting birds at night, it’s weird!
EXCITED BY…
Coffee with my boy! At 6:30am on Thursday morning our doorbell rang and when I opened the door there stood my 22 year old son who lives in Melbourne. OMG, I squealed and did a happy dance then gave him the biggest hug. He had jumped on a bus after work and traveled 10 hours to surprise us with a visit. My husbands mother is very ill too and our son wanted to spend some time with her, so I shared him. There’s nothing like walking around all day with a heart bursting with love and pride, seeing my boy was a tonic I needed.
THINKING ABOUT…
Hosting a special Styling Curvy Tour right here in Adelaide…I know I’m excited too!
FEELING…
Nostalgic after putting up our Christmas tree. In Adelaide the tradition is your tree goes up after the Christmas pageant and while I no longer have little ones to take to watch the pageant and welcome Santa to town the tree tradition still lingers. Every year this polaroid pic goes on the tree, a happy snap of our two boys on their first Christmas together. A little bittersweet this year as the eldest can’t get time off work to get home for Christmas.

My week was a week of goodbyes as I left my department at work after 3 years. I’m moving to Men’s Shoes with anxious thoughts as I’m thinking boredom!!! My son starts Exams this week another week of nerves and stress!! Had a lovely sat did all the Xmas shopping and will be wrapping soon. Styling curvy tour of Adelaide how exciting!!! Enjoy a new week Jen. I’ll be glad when this week is over
xo
Oh Jane i know how much you loved your old work space, i hope its not boring! Great work on knocking over the Christmas shopping!
You look amazing in every single shot..
My question is, do you have to havr the hairs visible for the laser treatment. If so it could get quite embarrassing?
Thanks Sharon, I wasn’t allowed to pluck for a few weeks so just used a razor and left it for a few days before. The beauty therapist can then see where she needs to work, and uses a razor before treatment x
I put up my Christmas tree ? this week to make me and my flat more cheery, put on Christmas carols and had a sing. And yes, all the more cheery it was, one month in advance – sent photos to my friends for a little chuckle. I went to my bestie’s house and had a BBQ and quite a few drinks and danced around to some songs. Had a really healthy week food-wise. All in all a good week.
Oh, and followed Jenni throughout the week; thanks for your inspiration sweet x
Nothing like some joy…if popping up a xmas tree early does it then I say go for it 🙂
Would love to come to Adelaide! WA school holiday time would be awesome! I love reading this weekly review as time during the week is pretty full. My week was up and down and then up again, class reports almost done can breathe s little easier now. Xx?

I am loving the lips thanks Susanne, very subtle. Blog post soon x
Yes I would love to visit Adelaide, I was only 4 years old when I visited Adelaide for my first and only time and the only thing I can recall is being frightened by a rock formation called Devil’s Eye, is that in South Australia or am I confusing it with somewhere else? It was 45 years ago! Jenny you look fabulous, even with an eye mask ☺
So much I would love to show you Michelle x
I’d love to join you on a tour Jen.
Nothing like hanging out with like minded sisStars ! ❣️

Had a lovely day at the Semaphore Street Fair with my beautiful daughter-really treasure the times we spend together.
We would be interested in an Adelaide tour with you Jen.Have a good week.x
I love Semaphore
Looking fabulous in all those outfits as usual Jen. I adore ypur hairstyle too, just don’t think it would suit my features though. I flew from Melbourne to Adelaide one Saturday night to meet face to face with about 30 people I met through a closed fb Bali group, my husband thought I had lost my marbles, for me it was the best thing I have done for myself ever. That was 4 years ago and I have a few solid, gorgeous girlfriends from that meeting. Love the town you live in, keep up the great work, Vicki x
The internet can be wonderful for connecting people Vicki x
I’ve had a rough week as I lost my beautiful Mum today. I’ll miss her like crazy but have a great support network of family and friends.
